TARPON FISHING IN THE KEYS IS A MIX OF FINESSE
AND SHEAR BRUTE FORCE.
We offer Tarpon fishing charters on both day and evening trips. A majority of these trips are usually no more than a 20 minute ride from our dock. We use spin tackle in the 20-40 lb. range. We primarily use live baits and at times soft plastic artificial lures.
On these trips, we are fishing strictly for Tarpon but don’t be surprised if we land a Jack Crevalle, Barracuda or a shark.
Tarpon fishing is strictly catch and release as required by the state of Florida.
The ideal number of anglers per boat is 2 as we will only be using 2 rods at a time. If you have a group of 4 we will still only have 2 rods.
On any given charter it is possible to encounter tarpon. Our captains are always ready with tackle suited for Tarpon fishing.
