Where We Adventure
Alligator Lighthouse
We call Alligator Reef the largest outdoor aquarium in the keys. It is a renowned snorkeling destination in the Florida Keys and one of the most popular trips we offer. On any given day you can expect to see thousands of tropical fish stacked up around the lighthouse. Keep an eye out for larger creatures like sea turtles, nurse sharks, and rays.
Islamorada Sandbar
The Islamorada Sandbar is a popular natural phenomenon in the Florida Keys, formed by shifting sands and currents. This ever-changing sandbar emerges from the shallow waters, creating a unique and picturesque landscape. Visitors can enjoy various activities here, such as sunbathing, swimming, and paddleboarding. The sandbar's location and appearance can vary depending on tidal conditions and weather patterns, adding to its allure.
Cheeca Rocks
Cheeca Rocks is a popular snorkeling spot in the Florida Keys, known for its vibrant coral formations and diverse marine life. The reef's shallow waters, ranging from 8 to 20 feet deep, make it ideal for snorkelers of all levels. As you explore the underwater world, you'll encounter a dazzling array of fish species, including angelfish, parrotfish, and sergeant majors. You may even spot larger creatures like sea turtles and nurse sharks. While the reef has faced challenges from coral bleaching in recent years, it remains a captivating destination for those seeking an unforgettable snorkeling experience.
Hen & Chickens Reef
Hen and Chickens Reef is a popular snorkeling destination in the Florida Keys National Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its vibrant coral formations and diverse marine life. The reef's unique name comes from its appearance, with a larger "hen" reef surrounded by smaller "chickens" reefs. Snorkelers can encounter a variety of coral species, including brain coral, star coral, and elkhorn coral, which provide shelter and food for a plethora of fish. Schools of colorful fish like blue tang, angelfish, and sergeant majors dart through the water, while larger creatures like sea turtles and rays may make occasional appearances.
